BBQ & Tunes for CAA's Dancing For Our Heroes Team: Andrea & Matthew Bradley
Matthew and Andrea Bradley have been married for 19 years and have 4 children, ages 17, 13, 10, and 6 years old. Matthew is co-owner of Bradley & Perkins Law Firm in Anderson and Andrea stays incredibly busy raising their four children and volunteering with PTO and church programs for the children. Matthew and Andrea are honored to be able to represent the Cancer Association of Anderson at Dancing For Our Heroes. “We have such a close and personal connection to the impact cancer has on most of everyone’s lives as our first child, Campbell, was born with Neuroblastoma and began treatment at just 6 days old. We are blessed to say the Lord healed him and he is now a 16 year survivor. We are thankful that we have such an amazing organization to help all those battling cancer in our community. The work they do everyday is a blessing to so many.”
All funds raised will go directly to local cancer patients AND will help Andrea & Matthew Bradley meet their goal in raising funds for CAA and hopefully win the People's Choice Competition at the Dancing For Our Heroes Evening by Rotary of Greater Anderson!
For the 18th year, the Rotary of Greater Anderson will have 14 local nonprofits competing in a Dancing with the Stars type competition to our theme: Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. Each nonprofit picks town “celebrities” and pairs them with “professional” dancers and choreographers in order to provide a night of fun for the citizens of Anderson County. This is one of Anderson’s largest fundraising events of the year. The purpose of this event is to provide a venue as well as a fundraising opportunity to these nonprofits at no cost to them. Since its inception, we have raised over $1 million that has gone directly back out to Anderson County. In order to facilitate and fund this event, we rely on our sponsors. Rotary of Greater Anderson's goal is to provide total fundraising to the teams that compete.
One of the largest focuses of the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson is the eradication and prevention of polio throughout the world. A portion of the funds raised the night of the event will go to PolioPlus, which is Rotary’s scientific effort toward the prevention of polio.
The Rotary of Greater Anderson Club members are extremely excited to be able to help each of these nonprofits with their fundraising efforts such as BBQ & Tunes! We would really love to see community involvement since this event affects so many of the nonprofits in our community!
